Fun and games in the village hall
Little did they know back in 1993, when some members of the village hall committee decided to find a game that everyone could play, that it would still be going strong now. The chosen game was carpet bowls and the Bowls Club was born. Its humble beginnings were based on borrowed equipment and funding by the village hall committee which was then repaid out of the fees that players paid.
In 2009 the Parish Council secured funding for table tennis equipment and the Table Tennis Club is now up and running.
The session fees cover the cost of hiring the hall, maintaining the equipment and, most importantly, providing refreshments!
You do not need any particular skills to play and whether you are a man, lady or youth the current members are very willing to give coaching advice. There are no formal leagues or competitions – the games are enjoyed for the social interaction as much as the play.

Hello Louise – the booking is the correct time, as this post hadn’t been updated for a few years. The times have now been amended, and yes just turn up.
